Welcome
It is with great pride and pleasure that I welcome you to our website and school. Chadwell St. Mary Primary School is part of a group of academy schools who work collaboratively through the South West Essex Community Education Trust (SWECET). It is important that each school maintains its own uniqueness whilst also gaining support and knowledge by working together.
Our school is a happy, welcoming place with a positive ethos towards learning. We are ambitious for our pupils and know that the experiences they have at school will shape their futures. All of our staff, parents and pupils are actively involved in school improvement as important stakeholders.
Our curriculum has been designed to cater for the wide range of needs and abilities of pupils in our school. The core subjects of reading, writing, mathematics and science are given due value but we are also conscious of ensuring that children access the full curriculum through the exciting PlanBee schemes of work. PlanBee is both knowledge and skills based, offering full curriculum coverage, engaging lesson ideas and fun “fancy something different” activities!
Extra-curricular activities are essential for children to fully experience a broad and balanced curriculum and these include: trips, visitors to our school, after-school clubs and offering our support to a wide range of charities, such as Jeans for Genes Day.
At Chadwell St. Mary Primary, there is one class in each year group and this allows for our members of staff to have a good understanding of our pupil’s needs across the whole school. Assemblies bring our whole school together to celebrate successes of our individual pupils and as classes. We also have a dedicated assembly every week to discuss wider issues and events that link to developing our pupils Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural understanding of our world.
If you would like to look around our school, the please contact the school office and we would be very happy to arrange a time convenient for you.
